The aim of this project was to phase out the ERP environment of one of the institutions and to standardise and optimise the processes where possible. Subsequently, master data and outstanding items were fully and correctly migrated to the new environment.

One of the consultants from Green Rock Consulting played an advisory and executive role in this project. The work started with an analysis of the current processes at both institutions, whereby the target environment was leading, unless this would lead to sub-optimisation for the other party. The developed customisation was also examined, whereby the specific functionality per institution received special attention.

Subsequently, questions and decision points were discussed and recorded, which formed the basis for the design of the ERP environment and the implementation framework for institution-specific customisation.

At the same time, work was done on the preparation and elaboration of the conversion. First, the framework conditions were defined to ensure that student data with the same characteristics and numbering would end up correctly in the target system, which was essential for the integration with the Student Information System. Subsequently, it was determined which data should be converted per student, which students should be converted automatically and which should be converted manually. Finally, conversion programs and queries were designed, developed and tested. The migration to a single ERP environment was ultimately successful and without problems.
